- Soaking the seed overnight in warm water can help speed up and increase germination rates. Any seeds that do not swell, nick the seed cases to help them take on water and germinate.
- Best started undercover 6-8 weeks before the last frost sown shallow at 18-20c in well drained seed compost with added grit for drainage.
- Germination 7-21 days in the correct conditions.
- As soon as seedlings emerge grow them on in bright light in cool conditions.
- Pinch out growing tip when the second pair of leaves has opened which will encourage a more robust plant.
