Herb – Purslane Green/ Summer is a fast-growing annual with thick, fleshy, oval leaves. And an upright habit reaching 30-40cm. Perfect for use in salads or cooked like spinach with a crispy texture and an interesting nutty, peppery flavour.  Also available in a golden form.

Cultivation Advice HERB PURSLANE GREEN SUMMER

  • Sow from Mar- Aug at 20C.  For early sowing a heated propagator is best.
  • You can sow directly outdoors from early summer.
  • Transplant into their growing position when large enough to handle, spacing 10cm.
  • Best grown in well drained position in full sun.  Plants will tolerate dry conditions, however best succulent leaves are produced with regular watering.
