Cultivation Advice Gloxinia Sinningia Empress Mix F1

• Best sown from Dec to Mar.
• Finely surface sow (Do not cover) the seeds on free draining fine low nutrient seed compost.
• Pre-treat compost with fungicide to prevent damping off disease.
• Cover trays / pots with glass to retain humidity during germination.
• These seeds require light to germinate.
• Germination averages 21 days @ 20-25C.
• Gloxinia need artificial heat, a windowsill will not be sufficient.
• Remove cover as soon as germination is visible.
• If germinate you can drop the temperature to 18-22C.
• Avoid feeding with any fertilizer with a salt content.
• When large enough to handle prick out into pots and grow on around 18C.
• Ensure plants are shaded from direct strong sunlight.
